The staff kindly explain how to pick strawberries, the different tastes, and shapes of strawberries, and offer a relaxed experience with reservations every 30 minutes to avoid overlapping with other groups. After the strawberry season, you can enjoy picking bell tomatoes, followed by watermelons, as they grow different fruits seasonally, making it a place you can visit all year round. In addition to the picking experience, there are programs for making mini strawberry cupcakes, iron plate ice cream, pizza, and juice using the fresh fruits.

Inpyeong Great Prince’s Tomb and Ancient Stele

인평대군치제문비

Inpyeongdaegun Chijemunbi, located in Sinpyeong-ri, Shinbuk-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, is a memorial stele built to honor the character and achievements of Inpyeongdaegun Lee Yo (1622-1658), the third son of King Injo and the younger brother of King Hyojong, to console the sorrow of his short life. Inpyeongdaegun experienced hardships as he was taken as a hostage to the Qing Dynasty when King Injo surrendered during the Manchu War. Despite his challenging circumstances, he excelled in diplomacy, serving as an envoy to the Qing Dynasty multiple times. Known for his deep scholarship and proficiency in poetry, calligraphy, and painting, Inpyeongdaegun was a remarkable figure. The memorial stele is in the form of a paljak roof with square supports, adorned with dragon carvings at the ends of the roof’s ridge. Made of granite, the two steles stand at heights of 359cm and 355cm, with widths of 88cm and 87cm, and thicknesses of 34cm and 38cm. The inscriptions are engraved 9cm deep, with the main text in haeseo font. The front and back of the stele bear the autographs of King Hyojong and King Sukjong respectively, with King Sejong writing the main text. The other stele contains a royal decree appointing an official to erect the stele. Above, King Yeongjo’s autograph is found, while King Jeongjo’s is at the bottom. Adjacent to the Inpyeongdaegun Chijemunbi is the tomb of Inpyeongdaegun, adorned with intricate stone carvings typical of the Joseon Dynasty’s royal tombs. Particularly noteworthy is the nearby Sindobi, showcasing exceptional patterns of the Gwibu and Isu. The Sindobi provides valuable insights into the changing styles of the time and the humanistic and scholarly interests of later Joseon kings, including Kings Hyojong and Sukjong. It stands as a precious historical site where the writings and calligraphy of five Joseon kings can be seen together.
