Duryu Park

Duryu Park, located in the heart of Dalseo-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City, is the largest park in Daegu. Established in 1977, this extensive park, covering over 500,000 square meters, has since seen the development of numerous cultural, sports, and entertainment facilities.
The park is primarily divided into two areas, Duryusan and Geumbongsan, with an 8-lane road, Duryu Park Road, running through its center. The Geumbongsan area features a large outdoor music hall, a cultural arts center, a library, and sports facilities including a baseball field, tennis courts, and swimming pools. Commemorative facilities such as the 2.28 Memorial Tower and the People’s Hill are also found here.
In the Duryusan area, various entertainment facilities operated by E-World are located. At the summit of Duryusan stands the 83 Tower, a landmark of Daegu, offering a panoramic view of the city from its 200-meter high observation deck. While some facilities at 83 Tower are privately operated, visitors can freely enjoy the hiking trails without an entrance fee. The Geumbongsan area, with fewer paid facilities, is more focused on fulfilling the traditional role of a public park.
The park is easily accessible. Duryu Station on Subway Line 2 is just 500 meters from the northern entrance, and Seobu Bus Terminal Station on Subway Line 1 provides access to the southern end of the park, near Seongdangmot, just 600 meters away.
