The Milal Farming Cooperative operates a program where you can cook, eat, play, and experience farming with their own Anjeunbaeng-i wheat. Through contracted cultivation with local farms, they produce wheat and develop various products such as flour, noodles, bread, snacks, and meal kits using their wheat.

The experience center is divided into a flour room and a whole wheat room, where you can smell the fragrant wheat, touch the soft flour, and play around. In June, during the wheat harvesting season, a wheat festival takes place. You can experience firsthand the harvesting and threshing of wheat, and even explore the disappearing and nostalgic wheat village memories.

Baeganne Gongjaks Workshop

Baeganne Gongjaks is a cooperative formed by residents who met at the first community gathering. Located in Jinju City, Gyeongsangnam-do, this small village overlooking Chokseokru is a place that uncovers the unique stories of Jinju and embraces the motto ‘We are Jinju.’ Baeganne Gongjaks creates content based on the daily lives and cultural activities of the village residents. Currently, Baeganne Gongjaks is diligently preparing to create and sell Jinju tourism products through cultural planning, local archives, and storytelling.

The Frost Beer Cooperative, located in Myeongseok-myeon, Bisil Village, produces handmade craft beer using lotus flowers, lotus leaves, and lotus roots grown on a 30,000 square meter farm. The village has developed this into a popular tourism package, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the process of making craft beer. By directly cultivating hops on the farm and brewing them in the beer brewery, they ensure the freshness of the product, making it a competitive option for those seeking local craft beer and fresh brews. During the hop harvesting season, they also host Hop Harvest Experience events, allowing people to participate in the harvest firsthand.

Visitors can even take the harvested hops directly to the brewery for a hands-on experience in making craft beer. Nakgang Dam Water Culture Center

The Namgang Dam Water Culture Center, operated by the South Han River Dam Management Team, introduces visitors to the importance and gratitude for water, allowing them to cherish it in their hearts. The first floor showcases the daily lives of ancestors who lived around the South Han River, as well as the background and process of the dam’s construction, along with local cultural elements intertwined with the dam.

On the second floor, there is a multipurpose hall, a children’s shelter, and an observation terrace. Inside the Water Culture Center, the Water Screen presents the beauty of water unfolding through majestic music and refreshing visuals depicting the beauty of water in all four seasons.

The visit to the Water Culture Center is organized as a space for invitation, perception, technology, and experience. Surrounding the Water Culture Center are many tourist attractions such as Jinjuseong Fortress, Jin Yang Lake, the South Han River, and the Jinju South Han River Lighthouse Exhibition Hall.

LH Land Housing Museum

The LH Land Housing Museum is a specialized museum that focuses on our nation’s residential architectural culture and civil engineering technology. It first opened its doors in 1997 in Bundang, Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province, and relocated to Jinju in 2015 with a fresh new look.

The museum recently established the Urban Housing History Hall in 2022, offering a broader exhibition space with more content to create an open history and cultural space for everyone. The first floor Urban History Hall showcases the evolution of housing and urban development in Korea since the Korean War, from Yeondan houses and Mapo apartments to the revolutionary changes in residential culture and the birth of inclusive cities today.

On the second floor, the Land Housing Museum’s first exhibition hall explores the history of Korean residential culture under the theme of building a foundation for wisdom and happiness in life, featuring five recreated houses from ancient to modern times alongside artifacts. The second exhibition hall provides insights into the flow of our architectural technology through building materials and tools.

A special exhibition hall on the second floor introduces the museum’s collection, and various educational programs such as Museum University, Children’s Cultural Classroom, Visiting Museum, and Weekend Museum are also available.

Jinchi Tunnel

The Jinchi Tunnel, built during the Japanese colonial period in 1925 as part of the Gyeongjeonnam Line, was converted into a pedestrian tunnel in 2012 when the railway was upgraded to double-track. In July 2014, Jinju City opened the tunnel as a bicycle road to enhance the eco-friendly city infrastructure for citizens’ health and happiness, transforming it into a premium walking space. In November 2022, it was further developed into a bright and beautiful tunnel gallery featuring four photo zones: Moon, Constellation, Wings of Peace, and Paper Airplanes, adding more fun to the walking experience.
